Full Moon Practice

Dr. Pillai says, “Even if you do not meditate on other days and meditate just on the Full Moon day, the effect is tremendously powerful. This is because the Full Moon is the day for prosperity and enlightenment. It will take care of both your material needs and spiritual needs – 200% life.”

The Moon is connected to our mind, our emotions and how we perceive the world in which we live. The Tamil Siddhas (enlightened beings) from Southern India were aware of this and they looked to the Moon’s energy on a daily basis.

The Full Moon is a night of abundant light in the  sky and the time when Gods and Goddess come to the earth plane. This creative energy can help us transform our consciousness as we connect with the energy of these Divine archetypes.  The Full Moon is an opportunity to expand, both spiritually and materially.

Chanting the sounds ‘Shreem Brzee’ will invoke the abundant prosperity of the Goddess Lakshmi on the Full Moon.  Lakshmi can bring guidance for setting our goals and the necessary steps to achieve success.  We encourage you to add the sounds ‘Shreem Brzee’ to your daily practice, and especially your Full Moon practice.

Pradosham is a specific window of time that occurs during the 13th Moon Phase.  It is believed that the energy during this time makes it easier to dissolve and release karma and negative realities.

As we work toward our highest evolution in 2012, it is essential to process and release old habits, negative thought patterns and heart sorrows. Here is a practical tip to help you break through stubborn karma and embrace new beginnings.

Lime Technique

The Lime Technique is simple method used to clear karmic patterns and negativity. The citric acid in the lime has the ability to absorb these energies.  (For this technique you can also use a lemon, coconut or pumpkin).

Take the lime and roll it over your head, throat, shoulders, and chest (heart center).  Recite the sounds: Thiru Neela Kantam Makaral Shivayanama at each one of these areas.  As you roll the lime, allow your burdens, sorrows, and limitations to pass from your physical body into the lime.

Once you have rolled the lime, cut it and throw it away.  Make sure you wash your hands and clean up any lime juice.

This technique may be practiced every day and especially on Pradosham days.  You may use just 1 lime or you may want to use 9, 27, or 108 limes.  If you want to remove old programs more quickly, cut more limes each day.

There’s no time like the present. Start clearing karma today!
